What are the advantages and disadvantage of a keyless lock or deadbolt? Getting rid of your traditional pin and tumbler locks can definitely offer some advantages. Thus, making it harder for any burglar or thief to target your home or business. Mostly, because they will not be able to be picked or bumped your locks. Almost all keyed locks can be picked and many of them can, possibly, be bumped. It’s not easy to pick locks, although some are easier than other, but for all locks it’s just a matter of time. Bumping locks, which is the trick of using a malleable key to gently smidge the lock open, is not something that can be done to all locks but many thieves are becoming proficient at the practice. Keyless locks will take away this type of trick with no point to bump or pick. 

Furthermore, keyless eliminates the risk of losing your keys, misplacing them or having them stolen.  As well, it offers you more control over access. Many pins or fingerprints can be programmed into the lock or the access code and pin can be given out. Moreover, it can easily be changed when necessary. Such as a worried about who the code has been shared with or a change in tenants or an Airbnb property.
